FC Bayern continue to deal with Yan Diomande – and new indications are now coming from Leipzig as to why a door could open for the Munich club in the summer
According to Sport BILD, the future of the RB top star depends largely on the sporting and financial development of the Saxons
One thing is clear: if RB Leipzig miss out on the Champions League, the club will come under considerable pressure. In order to be financially balanced, transfer revenue of around 200 million euros would have to be generated next summer. The consequence would be clear: Leipzig would have to sell its best players – above all Yan Diomande
The 19-year-old was only signed from CD Leganés last summer for around €20 million, but has adapted to the Bundesliga in a very short space of time. With eight goals and six assists, the Ivorian is currently Leipzig’s second-highest scorer. His explosive dribbling in particular has long since attracted the interest of numerous top European clubs
According to Sport BILD, Diomande is in the notebooks of almost all top clubs. Scouting and exchanges with players at Liverpool FC, FC Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are said to be particularly intensive. FC Bayern also have the winger on their radar
However, according to the report, Munich have defined a clear pain threshold internally. If the transfer fee exceeds 60 million euros, Bayern would pull out of the poker game. However, this is precisely where a new dynamic could emerge – depending on how great Leipzig’s pressure to sell actually becomes in the summer

Officially, RB say that they will only sell Diomande in the event of an „immoral offer“. Internally, however, many people in charge are said to assume that the super jewel will not be kept as soon as a big club gets serious and puts a concrete offer on the table. If Leipzig also miss out on the Champions League, it is considered almost impossible for the winger to stay, according to Sport BILD
Another detail underlines the increasing movement surrounding Diomande: the attacking player recently changed his advisor and is now represented by the agency Roc Nation, which is owned by rapper Jay-Z. Stars such as Vinicius Junior and Kevin De Bruyne are also under contract there – an environment that specializes in major international transfers
But even a Champions League qualification would apparently not completely free Leipzig from the obligation to sell. According to Sport BILD, the RB bosses are planning transfer income of around 100 million euros even in the event of success – significantly more than has been publicly known to date
This results in a clear constellation for FC Bayern: if Leipzig have to deliver financially and the price for Diomande falls below the internal Bayern limit, the Munich club could suddenly have better cards than initially assumed. Whether a concrete move is made in the end is likely to depend above all on Leipzig’s season finale.
