Galatasaray have tabled their offer from Paulo Dybala, and they are now waiting for his answer. It’s not so certain it’ll be positive, even though he’d earn more than he’s currently making at Roma. He’s evaluating other things too. If it came down to just money, he would have joined Al-Qadsiah last summer, Corriere dello Sport relayed.
His agent Carlos Novel has left Istanbul and headed back to Spain, where he resides. The Cimbom is the only concrete January destination. The Saudi sides are no longer trying to woo him. He won’t consider proposals from the MLS or Brazil. If he transferred to South America, he’d only go to Argentina, probably to Boca Juniors.
Galatasaray have tendered €10M per year, and Dybala hasn’t made up his mind yet. The Turkish side doesn’t plan to spend much fee-wise. He’ll have a €12M release clause in the first 15 days of January. They might wait for the back half of the month to acquire him for less.
He obviously needs to sign off first. His wife Oriana Sabatini is comfortable in Rome and has some commitments in Italy, Argentina, and Miami lined up. He’s close to activating an automatic extension, but Roma consider his future €8M salary excessive.
It looks like his entourage is more active and eager to broker a deal and profit from it than he is about switching sides. He should really make a decision before his representatives go out and about looking for bids. If he stays put again, reworking his contract would be a must to avoid the same song and dance in a few months.
