Crystal Palace make their debut in the Conference League proper tonight, facing Dynamo Kyiv in Poland. Oliver Glasner’s Eagles come into the match on an 18-match unbeaten run, and will be fully intent on dispatching the Ukrainian outfit after beating Premier League champions Liverpool last time out, thanks to Eddie Nketiah’s heroic 97th-minute winner, which left the Eagles as the only unbeaten side in the top flight.

They have a point to prove in Europe, though, after being controversially demoted from the Europa League to UEFA’s third-tier competition over the summer. Kyiv, though, have touched all three levels of European competition this season, having crashed out of both Champions and Europa League qualifying after defeats to Cypriot outfit Pafos and Maccabi Tel Aviv. After finishing 34th of 36 teams in last season’s Europa League league phase, they too will be hoping to get their own back in this campaign.
