Crystal Palace begin their Conference League campaign tonight against Dynamo Kyiv.

After losing their appeal, Palace overcame Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad 1-0 on aggregate in the play-off round to seal a place in the league phase of this season’s Conference League.

Meanwhile, Kyiv have had their struggles already in Europe this season. They lost in the Champions League qualifiers to Pafos before being beaten in the Europa League by Maccabi Tel Aviv to drop into the Conference League.

Dynamo Kyiv vs Crystal Palace is scheduled for a 5.45pm BST kick-off today on Thursday October 2, 2025.

Dynamo Kyiv vs Crystal Palace team news

Kyiv will be without Senegal international Samba Diallo as the 22-year-old has not been registered in the club’s Conference League squad.

That said, the winger has been out of favour so far this season, so his absence is not too much of a surprise.

Central defender Denys Popov is doubtful with a calf injury that has seen him miss the last six games in a row across all competitions.

As for Crystal Palace, summer signing Walter Benitez looks set to miss out again as the result of a dislocated finger.

Cheick Doucoure is a long-term injury absentee, though may be back in action next month. Meanwhile, Chadi Riad is still a couple of weeks away from a return to action and youngster Caleb Kporha is also still sidelined.
