A late blow to the transfer plans of Bayern Munich: the almost completed loan deal of Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson has collapsed, as Max Eberl confirms in a BILD interview:

“I'm not in a position to act. We would have liked to act, we would have liked to have done the medical and signed the contract. That's not possible now and we'll tell the player [Jackson] and his agent that they have to go back to Chelsea, because they demand so. We simply don't have a signed contract.”

About Bayern's transfer plans for the rest of the transfer window, Eberl said:

“We have 48 hours left. This isn't a situation we could really plan for, but we'll try to find a solution. We're still considering things and when to act, how to act - if we decide to do nothing, then that's a decision, but we'll try to do as best as we can. I have a task [signing a player on loan] and I'm trying to implement it.”

Since Bayern's squad can be considered as quite thin, many fans and even some players have commented on the dangerous situation - if someone gets injured, there are not many solutions left to tackle the new problem.

On the lack of options, Eberl commented the following in an interview with "Sport1": “The reality of the squad is that we can hardly react in attack. We can't change players and we can't bring big impulses off the bench. The guys have to more or less play the entire game.”

Bayern sold the likes of Kingsley Coman, Mathys Tel and Paul Wanner and lost Leroy Sané and Thomas Müller on free deals, since their contracts expired, while only bringing in Luis Díaz for the attack.
