The EFL confirmed the summer transfer window will open on Monday, 15 June and close on Tuesday, 1 September at 11pm, giving clubs around two-and-a-half months to trade.

Clubs may unveil signings before the opening, but registrations will not receive formal league approval until mid June. The deadline reverts to 11pm after this season's 7pm cut-off.

The winter window will run from Friday, 1 January to Monday, 1 February, with an 11pm deadline.

Wolves and Albion will face each other in the Championship next season after Wolves' relegation from the Premier League. Bosses Rob Edwards and James Morrison are set to build squads aiming for a marked improvement.

Wolves finished bottom after a miserable campaign and could not overcome second-bottom Burnley on the final day to climb to 19th. Albion narrowly steered clear of relegation to League One.

Morrison, appointed caretaker in late February, kept the club up despite a late EFL two-point penalty and has now taken the job permanently. In League Two, Walsall have named Lee Grant as head coach after Mat Sadler's dismissal, with Darren Byfield overseeing a 13th-placed finish as caretaker.
