Neil El Aynaoui spoke exclusively to Retesport on 104.2 FM the day after Roma qualified for the Champions League thanks to a 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona at the Bentogodi Stadium.

The Moroccan midfielder expressed his emotions at reaching the goal the team had set for itself at the start of the season: “Last night was an incredible evening for us, for all the fans. We even celebrated after the match at the airport, where we found an incredible atmosphere. I think this is the level where Roma should be.”

El Aynaoui revealed Roma’s added value: “Our secret has always been to think as a team, to remain united, at all times, from the first to the last day.”

The Giallorossi number 8’s thoughts on his season: “This year has been very good for me at times, less so at others. The goal was to reach the Champions League, I’ve wanted that since the beginning of my time here. I’ve given my all to help the team.”
