La Liga outfit Elche have identified the club’s priority transfer target to reinforce their frontline with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.
The player in the sights of the Franjiverdes? Fer Niño.
The board at the Estadio Martínez Valero have long identified the centre-forward spot in new boss Martin Anselmi’s squad as an area in need of fresh blood.
Following the departures of all of Rafa Mir, André Silva, and Álvaro Rodríguez, Elche desperately require a new goalscorer for their La Liga survival battle in 2026/27.
And as alluded to above, amid their ongoing search, one name has early this week been circled in red.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, after he played a leading role for Burgos CF on his way to a haul of seven goals in Spain’s 2nd tier last time out:
‘The player chosen to remedy Elche’s goalscoring problem is 25-year-old Fer Niño.’
Niño for his part has plenty of experience of top-flight football, having previously lined out in the colours of both Villarreal and RCD Mallorca.
