Emil Holm is a new Juventus Men’s First Team player, arriving on loan from Bologna until 30 June, 2026.
Born in Gothenburg, the 25-year-old defender grew up playing football in the IFK Gothenburg youth teams. Promoted to the first team at the start of the 2019 season, he made his debut in Allsvenskan – Sweden's top football league – at the age of 19, making a total of 42 appearances for his hometown club.
After moving to Sønderjyske in Denmark in January 2021, Holm arrived in Italy in the summer of 2022 to play for Spezia, where he spent a season in Serie A. He then transferred to Atalanta for the 2023/24 season, making 32 appearances for the Nerazzurri and helping them win the Europa League.
In June 2024, he moved to Bologna. With the Rossoblu, he found space on the pitch thanks to his versatility, technical skills and physical attributes, winning the third trophy of his career – the Italian Cup in Rome against AC Milan in May 2025.
Overall, Holm has played 74 Serie A matches in his career, scoring four goals and providing ten assists. He made his Champions League debut in recent months with the Rossoblu.
Now, a new adventure awaits him in black and white.
Welcome to Juventus, Emil!
