Emiliano Martínez felt pain in his left calf as Palmeiras returned to training on Monday and has begun treatment, leaving him a doubt for the club’s next fixtures.
According to Nosso Palestra, the squad reconvened on 23 February to prepare for the Brasileirão fourth-round meeting with Fluminense at Arena Barueri on Wednesday 25.
Felipe Anderson, back from injury and involved in two goal-scoring moves against Capivariano, said the priority is to have everyone fit and those carrying issues recovering. He stressed that a strong, unselfish squad will see all players get minutes as they chase high targets this season.
He also looked ahead to the Campeonato Paulista semi-final against São Paulo on Sunday one. He added that games with Fluminense are typically open and intense, and that as the calendar tightens they must stay focused, work hard and play with joy, noting the team’s positive trajectory.
Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time.
