Manchester United’s pursuit of Endrick may have just become a lot tougher. The Red Devils are reportedly eyeing a loan move for the talented Brazilian forward in January.
The Premier League giants invested heavily in the attack over the summer, adding Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
United have improved their output in front of goal this season, registering 17 goals in 10 Premier League games, just one fewer than league leaders Arsenal. For context, they only scored 44 times in 38 games in the league last season.
However, with Joshua Zirkzee linked with an move away ahead of the winter transfer window, and Sesko enduring a slow start to life at Old Trafford, the Red Devils are looking for a new striker in January.
A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person stated that United have their eyes on Endrick. The Premier League giants are reportedly proposing a loan swap involving the Brazilian and Kobbie Mainoo.
Like the Englishman, Endrick has also struggled for game time this season. The 19 year old made his first appearance of the season for Real Madrid over the weekend, coming off the bench in the 4-0 win over Valencia.
Those 11 minutes of action, however, remain his only involvement since Xabi Alonso took charge at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. This stands in stark contrast to his debut campaign, when he scored seven goals in 37 appearances.

The teenager is understandably frustrated, and United are hoping to capitalise on the situation. The Brazilian’s trickery and pace could make him an excellent addition to Amorim’s attack, helping the Red Devils in their push for a top-four finish this season.
However, it now appears that Lyon could pour cold water on the Premier League giants’ plans.
Acclaimed journalist Fabrizio Romano recently stated that the Ligue 1 giants are in talks with Endrick’s entourage over a potential loan move this winter. A fresh report has now provided an update on the sitaution.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca has held direct talks with the Brazilian regarding a possible move to the Groupama Stadium.
The report adds that the conversation has been productive, and Fonseca has convinced Endrick to make Lyon his preferred destination this winter. The two clubs are now engaged in direct talks, with Real Madrid looking to secure a loan fee.
Fonseca wants Endrick to take Martin Satriano’s place in the team, with the Uruguayan striker struggling at present. The Brazilian, meanwhile, wants to play in UEFA competition, so the French giants’ involvement in the Europa League also makes them an attractive option.
There is no rush to complete a deal, especially since the transfer window will only open in January. However, the recent developments could deal a significant blow to United’s plans, and INEOS will have to consider alternative targets if Zirkzee ends up leaving.
