Guéhi partnered former Blue John Stones at centre-back in the first half with Harry Kane scoring the only goal of the game in stoppage time, heading home a pinpoint cross from Tottenham left-back Djed Spence.

Trafford replaced Jordan Pickford in goal as Thomas Tuchel made 11 changes at the break, with O’Reilly slotting into centre midfield for the second period in place of Kobbie Mainoo.

England now face Costa Rica in Orlando on Wednesday, kick-off 21:00 (UK), before the World Cup begins.

The Three Lions are in Group L and start the tournament with a clash against Croatia on the following Wednesday 17 June, kick-off 21:00 (UK), at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium.

Jeremy Doku provided two assists for Belgium as the Red Devils thumped Tunisia 5-0 in their final World Cup friendly.

Winger Doku set up Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard for the first on 28 minutes and former Blue Kevin De Bruyne for the third on 65 minutes.

Atalanta striker Charles De Ketelaere scored the second on 53 minutes in between times while the task was made easier for the hosts when Tunisia and FC Augsburg winger Ismaël Gharbi was dismissed just past the hour mark after the second bookable offence.

Further efforts from Benfica winger Dodi Lukebakio and Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin in the final five minutes ensured a comprehensive victory at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

Doku played 74 minutes in total before being replaced by Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

Rudi Garcia’s side will now head to the United States ahead of the 2026 tournament, with Belgium starting with a Group G clash against Omar Marmoush’s Egypt at Seattle’s Lumen Field on Monday 15 June, kick-off 20:00 (UK).

Ruben Dias played 87 minutes as Portugal defeated Chile 2-1 at Lisbon’s Estadio Nacional.

Real Sociedad forward Gonçalo Guedes scored the first just shy of the hour mark after coming on as a substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo, one of six half-time changes for Roberto Martinez’s men, while Bruno Fernandes scored the second on 75 minutes.

In first half stoppage time, both teams were reduced to ten men when AC Milan winger Rafael Leão and Atletico Mineiro centre half Iván Román were both dismissed for violent conduct.

Dias exited the action late on, Benfica defender Tomás Araújo replacing him with Chile bagging a last-gasp consolation in the second minute of stoppage time through Elche forward Lucas Cepeda.

Portugal are in Group K in the World Cup alongside Abdukodir Khusanov’s Uzbekistan, DR Congo and Colombia with their first match taking place against DR Congo at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Wednesday 17 June, kick-off 18:00 (UK).

Finally, Omar Marmoush won his 50th cap for Egypt during a 2-1 defeat to Brazil at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
