Paris Saint-Germain booked a Champions League final place tonight by knocking out Bayern Munich, then underlined their respect for the Bavarians in the aftermath.

João Neves said: "Playing against Bayern is always difficult; they're a great team," speaking to Canal+. He added: "We know how to suffer. We're ready for what's coming. Even with injuries, all the players are ready to play."

Luis Enrique praised his side’s resilience. "The character we showed against a team like Bayern is so positive. We're so happy to reach a second Champions League final in a row," said Enrique. "It was very intense. Very difficult. They play football at the highest level. Both teams are similar, we love to press higher. We are very happy."

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added: "Bayern are one of the best teams right now – it was very difficult, the hardest one of the season. We showed we can play against these teams."

Neves reflected on the journey, saying: "That's how you build a great team. We're very proud of our journey. It's time to celebrate, to be with the group, our family."
