Flamengo wrapped up preparations on Friday afternoon at CT Ninho do Urubu ahead of the Botafogo derby, where Erick Pulgar produced a remarkable piece of skill in training.
According to Coluna Do Fla, during the warm-up rondo Léo Pereira hoisted a ball towards Pulgar, and the number five killed it with an applauded first touch.
The Chilean is renowned for his robust defensive work, yet he has long shown quality in possession. Before joining Flamengo he took free-kicks at Bologna and Fiorentina and often attempted long passes and shots.
With Pulgar available, head coach Leonardo Jardim has had two sessions to fine-tune the side for the clássico with Botafogo. The squad will complete an activation session at the Ninho do Urubu pitch on Saturday, hours before kick-off.
Flamengo face Botafogo at 20:30 Brasília time on Saturday 14 at Estádio Nilton Santos.
