After a slender 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in our WSL opener at Stamford Bridge, the Blues won the next four in a row, scoring 14 times in the process.

First, we came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 at the Joie Stadium, before a 5-1 victory away to Tottenham Hotspur and 4-1 triumph against London City Lionesses in the WSL.

Sandwiched between those final two matches was a 3-1 win in over Everton our first League Cup Group A encounter.

An incredible 23 different players have featured for City in September, but we’ve managed to create a shortlist for fans to vote from.

Voting closes on Monday 6 October, with the winner announced at 12:00.

Yui Hasegawa

Last season’s Etihad Player of the Season has picked up where she left off in the first month of the new campaign.

The Japan international has been an ever-present across the month and, thanks to City’s new system, has greater license to get forward and join the attacking.

It’s paid dividends in the opening weeks of the season, with Hasegawa grabbing goals against Brighton and Everton, the former proving to be the winner in a battling encounter with the Seagulls.

A world class midfielder with remarkable poise and consistency.

Laura Blindkilde Brown

A regular starter in the City midfield this season, Blindkilde Brown has taken the opportunity with both hands and has enjoyed her finest run of form so far at the Club.

Playing in a slightly deeper role, the 22-year-old has been a key influence behind City’s fine run of form and provided the perfect foil for Hasegawa in the engine room.

Those performances were rewarded with her first goal of the season in our 4-1 win over London City Lionesses, capping off an outstanding individual display.

A memorable month for an exciting talent.

Kerstin Casparij

An excellent start to the new season for the Dutch international, who’s adapted seamlessly to the fresh demands placed on our defenders by Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz.

Playing in a more advance role as wing back, Casparij’s pace and vision has already seen her grab one goal and one assist in her four appearances this season.

She headed home the Blues’ third in a 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur and set up Vivianne Miedema for our first against London City Lionesses, all while being as solid as ever in defensive situations.

Kerstin keeps going from strength to strength at City.
