RC Strasbourg Alsace captain Habib Diarra (21) will be allowed to leave the club in the summer, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Previously, BlueCo have been keen to retain Diarra, despite the interest shown in the midfielder, however, this summer, there will be a financial obligation to sell some high-value assets and so RCSA will not stand in his way in the event of an acceptable offer.
Diarra’s contract with Strasbourg runs until 2028 and so he will not come cheap. There is a market for him in the Premier League with Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion interested in the player, according to L’Équipe.
Meanwhile, Ismaël Doukouré (21), who has at times also worn the captain’s armband, could also leave. He was involved in a standoff last summer with Les Alsaciens and whilst the relationship has been repaired, Doukouré still wishes to leave. His current deal runs until 2026 and he is refusing to extend. Bayer Leverkusen have recently enquired about the versatile player.
