Everton have launched an enquiry into the availability of Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, identifying the Brazilian international as a potential target to bolster their attack.

The Toffees are considering an ambitious move to bring the 29-year-old to Hill Dickinson Stadium and provide David Moyes with added firepower up front as they close in on a deal to sign Hayden Hackney.

After a challenging 2025–26 campaign in which Jesus was limited to a supporting role—mainly due to a lengthy recovery from a serious knee injury—Arsenal are now looking to recoup part of their initial investment, which brought the ‘very important’ Brazilian to the Emirates Stadium.

With his contract set to expire at the end of next season, this summer is Arsenal’s last realistic chance to secure a meaningful transfer fee.

For Everton, the pursuit signals a clear intent to add proven Premier League quality to an attack that has lacked consistency.

The Merseysiders see Jesus as an ideal focal point capable of transforming their threat in the final third. His work rate, elite link-up play, and top-flight pedigree make him an enticing option for a side eager to push further into European contention.

However, turning this initial enquiry into a concrete deal presents significant hurdles. While Arsenal’s reported £20m valuation is not considered prohibitive, Jesus’ wage demands could pose a serious challenge for Everton’s wage structure.

Furthermore, the Toffees are exercising caution given the player’s recent fitness record, as recurring injuries have disrupted his momentum since arriving from Manchester City.

At the moment, Everton’s interest remains in the monitoring phase as they assess the financial viability of a formal bid.

However, with Jesus eager for regular first-team football to revive his international career after missing out on the 2026 World Cup squad, the prospect of becoming the undisputed talisman could work in Everton’s favour, provided they can make the numbers work.
