Everton returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 triumph over Fulham at Hill Dickinson Stadium, though the game featured several controversial offside calls that saw three goals ruled out.
The Toffees dominated much of the first half, creating a string of chances through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Thierno Barry and Jack Grealish but early opportunities were either squandered or flagged for offside.
Fulham, meanwhile, struggled to test Jordan Pickford, with Muniz and Kevin the only visitors to pose any real threat.
Just before the break, Gana Gueye finally broke the deadlock, smashing home from a loose ball after sustained pressure in the Fulham box.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, with the Toffees keeping the visitors pinned back and pressing for a second goal.
The win was sealed late when Michael Keane nodded in Dewsbury-Hall’s corner, giving Everton a deserved 2-0 victory and ending a three-game winless streak.
The result lifts David Moyes's side outside the bottom half, while Marco Silva's side remain 15th, one point above the relegation zone.
