Another youngster could soon be on his way out of Olympique Lyonnais.
The French club have reached an agreement to sell Ernest Nuamah (21) to Premier League side Everton during the winter transfer window. The Toffees are in a battle to stave off relegation, sitting 16th in the table, just a point above Ipswich Town.
RMC Sport reports that the two sides have reached an agreement over the sale of the Ghanaian-born winger. He will join the Premier League side for a €20m fee.
Nuamah came to OL from Belgian side RWD Molenbeek in July 2024 for a reported fee of €28.5m.
In the final days of the 2024 summer transfer window, the Ghanaian international saw a €19m move to Premier League side Fulham fall through at the last minute.
This season, he’s made 18 appearances for Les Gones across all competitions, scoring once in the UEFA Europa League. Internationally, Nuamah has earned 12 caps for Ghana, scoring three goals.
Nuamah began his professional career at Nordsjaelland in Denmark and was named the Danish Super Liga Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season. He was also named Young Player of the Year.
Last season he netted three times for Lyon in Ligue 1 as the team finished sixth in the table and earned a spot in the Europa League.
