Everton have signed left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich to provide competition for Vitaliy Mykolenko.
Aznou is known for his dribbling, technical quality and ability to invert into midfield seamlessly and run the game.
The new Everton star is expected to slot into the first-team set-up and challenge for game time immediately.
The move marks the latest chapter in Aznou’s fast-moving career. He came up through Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy before moving to Bayern in 2022.
After turning professional with the German giants last year, Aznou returned to Spain last season, completing a short-term loan at Real Valladolid.
He made 13 La Liga appearances during the second half of 2024/25.
Talks between Everton and Bayern intensified recently, with both sides eager to finalise a deal before the start of the new campaign.
Bayern have made a considerable profit on the player, having acquired him on a free transfer from Barcelona just two years ago.
Aznou is eligible to represent Spain and Morocco internationally.
He has already been capped at the youth level, and many people regard him as one of the brightest young defensive talents in European football.
Aznou left Bayern to secure playing time at the Merseyside outfit ahead of the 2026 World Cup in North America.
The deal is a coup for the Toffees, who beat off interest from several other European clubs to sign Aznou.
With pre-season preparations already underway, Everton fans will be eager to get their first glimpse of the new signing in action in the coming weeks.
