Neil Dunworth (For The Love of Paul McGrath): Villa have been nothing short of drab since the season started. Blunt in attack and sloppy in defence is never a good combination. He signings of Harvey Elliott and Sancho will hopefully add that needed guile and pace that Villa have lacked.
On the flip side cloud of Emi Martinez hangs over the club still. A hero who many think has tarnished his reputation by turning his cheek on the club. Will he be re-integrated so soon? Will he be made work his way back? Its all a puzzle Villa could do without having to solve.
Personally I think you play one of the worlds best keepers but I am torn regards what signal that may or may not send. Realistically it doesnt matter a jot what us fans think as long as the group of players accept him back.
Outside of Martinez Villa have injury questions over Bouba Kamara and Andre Onana.
Oh and also it would be remise not to mention Jack Grealish. The Holte End Hero now a Toffee has re-found his spark. Pity it wasnt back in Claret and Blue.
Villa need something from this. Its pivotal the slump ends now.
Im going to go for 1-2 and Villa snacking a draw at Evertons new incredible looking stadium.
Prediction: 1-2
