According to Coluna Do Fla, Evertton Araújo’s representatives have denied he attended a party on his birthday, amid Flamengo supporters escalating protests in Rio.

Members of Torcida Jovem surrounded a condominium after a protest outside Ninho do Urubu on Saturday, seeking players they believed had been at a gathering linked to the midfielder.

MV Agency told the 'Condominio Fifi' profile it had found no evidence placing Evertton Araújo at the supposed event, adding that neither the agency nor its legal team identified him in the videos reviewed. It asked for further proof if any exists, while maintaining he was not there.

Footage circulating online shows the Torcida Jovem president and others attempting to speak with players. Among those most targeted by supporters were Plata and Carrascal, with organisers asking security to arrange talks about the team’s poor early-season form.

The unrest comes as Flamengo start 2026 in a slump, failing to match 2025 levels and already finishing runners-up twice. They lost to Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil, then to Lanús (ARG) in the Recopa Sul-Americana.

Next up, Flamengo face Madureira in the second leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final on Monday at the Maracanã. The match will be shown live on SporTV and on Premiere pay-per-view.
