Capital set to be well represented at summer tournament

London clubs will be well represented at this summer’s World Cup, with 67 players from the nation’s capital jetting across the Atlantic for the expanded tournament.

It has been a strong year for London clubs, with Arsenal lifting the Premier League and Crystal Palace securing their first European trophy.

And the year could get better still should a London-based player take home the top honour, which is not unlikely.

With the tournament getting underway in just over a week, Standard Sport has pulled together a comprehensive list of every London club’s representatives at the World Cup.
