Here is everything you need to know about the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier and where to watch…

WHEN AND WHO

64 pro players from around the world will battle it out for one of 16 places available for the FC Pro Open.

And for Man City Esports, Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt and the Club’s newest signing Neat will compete on Friday 1 November in their first outing of the 2024/25 season.

The former qualified for Global Qualifier after he finished in the top 16 of the FC Pro Open.

Neat made it to the qualifier after winning his three regional matches in convincing fashion.

Matias Bonanno also looked to qualify through the regional qualifiers that took place in mid-October but was unfortunately knocked out.

FORMAT

On Friday, Tekkz and Neat will compete on their respective consoles in a Swiss league format. The top 32 players from Friday’s fixtures will progress to the knockout stage where they will play on either Saturday 2 November or Sunday 3 November.

In the knockouts, the pros will play in one of four double elimination brackets. Four players from each bracket, 16 in total, will be left standing and earn a place in the FC Pro Open.

This is the second season of the FC Pro Open in its current format.

And City’s record in the FC Pro Open Qualifiers is phenomenal.
