Inter Milan and Alexis Sanchez will part ways at the end of the season, but the veteran already has two viable suitors.

The 35-year-old had a three-year spell with the Nerazzurri between 2019 and 2022. He spent the previous campaign at Olympique Marseille where he regained his goalscoring prowess.

Last August, he made his return to Inter, signing a one-year deal as a free agent.

But with the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season, he appears destined for an exit.

The Chilean even made a little speech during the Scudetto celebrations which felt like a farewell statement.

So what will the future have in store for the former Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United star?

According to La Tercera via FcInterNews, two possible destinations have emerged for Sanchez.

The first leads towards the Blue Energy Stadium in Udine where he had plied his trade as a youngster.

Alexis was on Udinese’s books between 2006 and 2011. He developped into one of the best young attackers in Europe during his time with the Friulians, which earned him a big-money move to Camp Nou.

The Zebrette supporters cheered on their former hero when they hosted Inter on April 8th, with some urging him to return.

The source also mentions that the player’s bond with the city goes beyond football. He reportedly owns land and vineyards in the region.

Inter Milan Striker Alexis Sanchez Could Return To Udinese Or River Plate This Summer

On the other hand, Sanchez could make his return to South America through the gates of River Plate.

The striker also had a previous experience with the Argentine giants, spending the 2007/08 campaign on loan in Buenos Aires.

This season season, Alexis has scored four goals and produced as many assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for Inter.

His direct replacement will be Mehdi Taremi, albeit with different characteristics. The Iranian agreed to join the Nerazzurri once his contract with Porto expires in the summer
