Former Chippa United defensive midfielder Baraka Majogoro has found a new home in the Tanzanian Premier League following his exit at the Betway Premiership club at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old anchorman signed for the Chilli Boys at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, putting pen to paper on a one-year deal with an option to extend his stay in Gqeberha by a further 12 months.
Majogoro quickly established himself as one of the standout performers in the heart of Chippa’s midfield and in the South Africa topflight division at large.
This saw the Tanzanian international attract widespread interest from clubs in the continent and PSL teams, including the two Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, who were said to have added the player on their Wishlist.
During his stay at Chippa, Majogoro made a total of 29 appearances across all competitions as a regular feature in the starting XI. However, in a shocking twist of events, the player amicably parted ways with the club in January 2025.
The two parties swiftly made a U-turn on the decision as he was reinstated to the squad and went on to play for the club for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, before eventually departing upon the end of his contract.
Now, according to the latest exclusive information gathered by Foot Africa, Majogoro has signed for KMC FC on a one-year deal, with an option to extend by another year.
Majogoro turned out for KMC FC during the 2022/23 campaign, spending a season with the club prior to securing a move to the lucrative Betway Premiership in South Africa.
The three-time capped Taifa Stars midfielder will be determined to impress in his native country in a bid to make the Tanzanian national team squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
