Former Inter Milan goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano lashed out at Giorgio Chiellini after his remarks on Alessandro Bastoni.
Speaking to Aura Sport via FCInter1908, Viviano told the former Juventus defender to keep his morale to himself.
Alessandro Bastoni came under heavy scrutiny following Saturday’s Derby d’Italia showdown at San Siro.
Indeed, the 26-year-old drew two yellow cards from Pierre Kalulu in quick succession toward the end of the first half.
Though the Bianconeri defender barely touched the Nerazzurri stalwart, Bastoni’s dive tricked referee Federico La Penna.
As a result, the 42-year-old wrongly sent off the Frenchman, handing Inter a numerical advantage on the stroke of halftime.
Furthermore, Inter would go on to win the game 3-2, courtesy of Piotr Zielinski’s last-gasp winner.
Meanwhile, Chiellini loudly protested against La Penna’s decision, perhaps forgetting about Juventus’ notorious past.
In addition, he had a tunnel confrontation with the Italian referee, hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons.

“Refereeing mistakes have always existed and always will,” Viviano said. “We introduced VAR, but we barely use it.
“Based on what we’ve seen in recent months, what happened in Inter–Juventus was nonsense.
“I challenge anyone to say that, after watching it live, it wasn’t a yellow card.
“We thought Kalulu had messed up, but instead we were the ones who got it wrong by thinking that.
“We’ve seen crazy things, and now people go on about the ‘Marotta League’ and so on.
“I don’t care about Inter, but this season I haven’t seen many decisions go in their favor. I’ve seen plenty go against Juventus.
“And against Inter, for example, in the head-to-head in Naples, they awarded a non-existent penalty.
“Do you really think we’re in the same era when certain things were decided in court?”
“I hate diving,” Viviano was adamant. “It has to be condemned. But that’s where it ends.
“I’ve heard even former players – and none of them are saints – say he shouldn’t go to the national team. If that had helped us win the World Cup, they would’ve called him a hero.
“I get angry because I can’t stand hypocrisy. I care about Chiellini, but Giorgio wasn’t exactly Roberto Baggio when it came to behavior.
“He did those things too, rightly so – he’d come at you, always with his hands like this… Everyone does it!
“If Bastoni gets a two-match ban, that’s fine by me. He made a mistake and he pays for it, and that’s the end of it.
“Keep the moral lectures to yourselves. Especially since there are players still active today who have sold matches.”
