Ex Inter Milan & Juventus Midfielder Tips Inter & Napoli As Serie A Title Favourites: ‘They Know The Road To Winning’ | OneFootball

Former Inter Milan, Juventus, and Lazio midfielder Hernanes feels that Inter and Napoli are the favourites to win the Serie A title.

The Brazilian spoke to Italian outlet LazioNews24, via FCInterNews. He argued that the two teams to most recently win the title are the ones best-equipped to do so this time around.

At the moment, Inter and Napoli are the two teams at the top of the Serie A table.

Just a point separates the Nerazzurri from the Partenopei at the table.

And moreover, the two teams face off directly tomorrow. Therefore, there is already a sense that tomorrow’s match could have major implications for who wins the title at the end of the campaign.

Of course, there are other teams who are very much in contention.

Atalanta have been arguably the form team in Serie A for the past few weeks. They have fully recovered from a rocky start, with their emphatic win away to Napoli exemplifying their progress.

And then Juventus are also certainly right in it.

But over the course of the first ten matches of the season it’s been Inter and Napoli who have led the way.

It is not simply the fact that Inter and Napoli are currently at the top of the table, though.

Both have a group of players who have won the title recently.

The Partenopei won the title in resounding fashion in the 2022-23 season.

And then last time around, it was Inter who did so by a wide margin.

Moreover, midfielder Piotr Zielinski – who was instrumental to Napoli’s triumph a couple seasons ago – made the switch to the Nerazzurri on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

Former midfielder Hernanes argued that “Napoli and Inter are undeniably the favourites.”

“Simone Inzaghi’s team won two years ago,” the Brazilian noted.

“And then the Azzurri did so two seasons ago.”

“They’re the two teams who have kept ahold of their players. And their coaches know the road to winning.”

“In my opinion, those two are the favourites to win in the end,” Hernanes argued.
