Matteo Darmian and Piotr Zielinski will start for Inter Milan in tomorrow’s Serie A match away to Venezia.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Darmian will start in defense, and Zielinski in midfield.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has some injuries to work around in selecting his team tomorrow.
In defense, Yann Bisseck is out. The German has suffered a thigh strain.
Then, Benjamin Pavard is back, but only just coming back from an injury. Therefore, he will not be rushed straight back into the starting eleven.
Accordingly, former Manchester United and Torino defender Matteo Darmian both start in the back three against Venezia tomorrow.
Meanwhile, another injury blow for Inter will be the absence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The 35-year-old has picked up a muscle injury of his own.
Mkhitaryan has been virtually everpresent in Inter’s Serie A starting eleven this season.
However, it will be Piotr ZIelinski who takes Mkhitaryan’s place against Venezia.
Therefore, the Corriere’s complete predicted starting eleven for Inter is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Zielinski, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
