Sky Sports pundit shares his views on what he would do if he were Josh Sargent this January in the wake of Premier League interest
Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has provided his views on whether he would consider moves to either Leeds United or Burnley this January if he were Josh Sargent, with the Norwich City forward having been linked with both Premier League clubs.
It's been well documented that Norwich City have struggled in the EFL Championship this season, with the club in real danger of entering a relegation battle in the latter stages of the campaign if their form does not improve.
Following the dismissal of head coach Liam Manning, who only joined the club in the summer from Bristol City, having guided the Robins to their first play-off finish in 17 years, the Canaries chose to appoint Belgian head coach Philippe Clement to help steer them away from danger.
The former Club Brugge, Monaco, and Rangers boss has picked up four points in his first three games in charge of the Norfolk-based outfit, and must find a way to get the best out of USMNT striker Josh Sargent if his team is to climb the table.
Sargent is in his fifth season with the club, and although he has five goals and three assists in 18 Championship outings this season, he has failed to score in any of his last 14 outings, with each of those five goals coming in the opening four games.
Sargent has been linked with a move away in recent times, with both Burnley and Leeds United having taken an interest in signing the American, and with Norwich struggling this campaign, either side may try and take advantage of their position and attempt to sign the 25-year-old this January.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has shared his views on what he would do if he were Sargent and either Leeds or Burnley came calling this January.
Hendrie said: "Yeah, I think with the situation at Norwich, obviously they've got a new manager coming, you know, it's a little bit different, but I think any Premier League club comes calling, you do have to consider that move.
"I don't know, it hasn't been a great season for Norwich, and that will obviously reflect on maybe Josh Sargent, who's been such a key figure for them for quite some time now.
"I think if that was the case, that there was an opportunity of him leaving, obviously turning his head to go to a club that's in the Premier League, I think that it'd be hard to keep hold of him, to be quite honest.
"Whether that happens is down to the January window and the teams that are related and maybe linked with him.
"But yeah, he's shown what he can do in that centre-forward role. Obviously, the step up to the Premier League is a big step up; that would be the only consideration.
"But then you look at maybe the likes of Leeds and Burnley, who are trying to survive the Premier League, and in the worst cases, if it doesn't work this season for them, then they've got someone they know that could certainly cause problems in the Championship.
"So yeah, if the opportunity is there for him, I'd be very surprised if he didn't take that and accept it, and maybe head to one of them teams."

When it comes to hitting the back of the net at Championship level, you will find few better than Sargent.
The former Werder Bremen forward has proven to be a prolific goalscorer at this level ever since his £8 million move from Germany in the summer of 2022, establishing himself as one of the Championship's most consistent and feared marksmen.
Sargent was signed for Norwich by current Leeds boss Daniel Farke, so a reunion this winter could well be on the cards to add to the Whites' frontline, which currently boasts the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha, and Joel Piroe.
As recently as this summer, the American turned down a move back to the Bundesliga, with VFL Wolfsburg having agreed a deal worth £21 million for the forward, only for Sargent to choose to remain in Norfolk.
Sargent's contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2028, putting the Canaries in a strong position to negotiate over a fee, and with the club needing their star man to hit form now more than ever, they may be hugely reluctant to let him leave this winter, regardless of a lucrative fee or not.
