“Exorbitant” PSG asking price for striker bemoaned by Juventus suit | OneFootball

Randal Kolo Muani’s move to Juventus was making good progress at first, but when things stalled last week we predicted that we would see some moves from the Italian side to try and lower the price, and today they’ve moved to a new level.

A senior member of the club’s sporting side has come out to bemoan PSG’s demands for the forward, and to effectively given them an ultimatum about lowering the price.

“PSG’s asking price is exorbitant, it’s either we reach an agreement or we look for another player,” the Juventus general manager said.

“PSG is demanding more than 45 million euros. Buying is easy these days, you just have to spend, but the sums are astronomical.”

This has the whiff of a gambit to get the price down. But it doesn’t feel like a bluff – Juventus won’t pay €45m, so they will have to decide if they’re going to be able to find a different buyer, or if it’s better to relent and just get this issue ticked off the list.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Lucas Digne is on his way to PSG after agreeing terms. The Parisians will pay his release clause.

The first whispers about this deal only arrived earlier today, when it became clear that Digne had the release clause and was willing to return to Paris as Mendes’ backup.
