Wolves could land a significant windfall this summer if former defender Bastien Meupiyou secures a big-money move.
ExpressAndStar.com understands that Borussia Dortmund have offered an initial £10.4 million plus £4.3 million in add-ons, up to £14.7 million.
Meupiyou, 20, joined Wolves in 2024 for around £4.2 million from Nantes, made no first-team appearance, then left last summer for Alverca.
He has played regularly at centre-back for newly-promoted Alverca, who finished mid-table in the Portuguese top flight. The club have prepared for offers and believe he could become a record sale, surpassing the £7 million received for Alex Amorim to Genoa in January.
Wolves retain a buy-back clause for a small fee, although they are not expected to use it.
Their sell-on arrangement would reimburse the £4.2 million outlay and deliver 50 percent of any profit. If Dortmund’s bid is accepted, Wolves could receive up to £7.3 million from the initial fee, plus a further £2.1 million if the add-ons are triggered.
