A few Manchester United fans were handed the golden opportunity to tell Sir Jim Ratcliffe exactly what most of the fanbase thinks of his club management.
The British Billionaire acquired a minority stake at the club from the Glazer family just over a year ago. He and his company, INEOS, have also been entrusted with managing the day-to-day operations at the club.
Since he’s a self-proclaimed lifetime Man Utd supporter, the Reds had very high hopes of a new dawn under Ratcliffe’s tutelage. Nevertheless, it has been anything but.
While the club hit new lows on the pitch, INEOS have staunchly embarked on a vigorous quest to cut the club’s expenses, which led them to take some shameful measures, like reducing the employees’ Christmas bonus and halting some of the club’s charity work among other despicable decisions.
Moreover, the fanbase has been particularly irked by Ratcliffe’s decision to raise the ticket price for the club’s members to £66.

Therefore, a few Red supporters voiced their irritation and disdain towards the minority owner and his collaborators while he was leaving Craven Cottage in his car following the team’s 1-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday night.
A video circulating online captured the whole incident. The Red Devils fans can be heard telling the 72-year-old the F-word straight to his face, so he opted to check his phone to avoid any more contact, as he clearly looked like he’d rather be anywhere else.
Ratcliffe was also told he’s even worse than the unpopular majority owners the Glazers, and that he should have taken into account the Northeners’ economic status before taking these drastic measures on ticket prices.
While this awkward altercation will surely appease the angry fanbase, it remains to be seen if it will have any effect on INEOS’ policy, though we wouldn’t count on it.
