The transfer of Fábio Silva to Borussia Dortmund appears to be down to the final details.
Consistently linked to the German club by the international press, PlaymakerStats sister site zerozero understands that the deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers was reached today, with the player given the green light to travel to German to complete the move.
However, there are still details to be finalised before the Portuguese international can catch the flight to his new destination.
It has been found that the agreement between Borussia Dortmund and the player has not yet been reached, but this does not seem to hinder the operation from going forward.
Having already said goodbye to his teammates after the match against West Ham, the financial terms are also set between the clubs: €22.5 million (approx £19.4 million) for the transfer, plus an additional €4 million (£3.4 million) in variables to be achieved.
Purchased from FC Porto in the summer of 2020 for €40 million, Fábio Silva was unable to make his mark in the Premier League, having scored only five goals and provided six assists in the 72 matches he played.
The 23-year-old did have successful loan moves with Anderlecht, PSV, and Rangers, before shining in the Spanish league with Las Palmas last season, where he scored ten times.
