Tsimikas, meanwhile, could be on the way out with several teams already coming forward with their interest.
Robbo was linked in the last few days with Atletico Madrid but the trail has gone cold. It was suggested that Robertson was open to the opportunity but Atletico’s reluctance to pay a big transfer fee has scuppered the deal.
Now Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the next stage of the process. It looks like the Scotland international’s future is going to be wrapped up imminently.
“There was a possibility, a real possibility, for him to go to Atletico Madrid, but then Liverpool didn’t want the player to leave on a free transfer," the Italian transfer supremo wrote on Caught Offside.
“Now let’s see what’s going to happen with more clubs interested.
“At the moment, the player himself has not decided what he wants to do, he never gave any final green light to Atletico, to respect Liverpool, and make his decision on the future very soon.”

Robertson is only under contract until 2026, meaning if he doesn’t get a move away from Anfield this summer he is very likely to leave for free next year.
With Liverpool moving on from the left-sider with the acquisition of £45m Kerkez, it doesn’t look like Robertson is going to get much first-team football if he remains.
