Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “It wasn’t a good performance by us. We didn’t have the energy, power and footballing quality on the pitch that we imagined. Of course, it’s always frustrating when you concede the equaliser in stoppage time, but on the whole it’s a fair result. We weren’t at our best as a collective. Everyone needed to give a few percent more but the freshness that we need for our game wasn’t there. If you look at the distance covered by both teams, you can say that both teams left everything out there. But it needed more than that to get something against strong opponents. We’ll take the point, we haven’t lost – even though we obviously would’ve loved to have won. Now we have to shake it off and move on.”

Kevin Trapp: “Not just the result, but also the display isn’t to our liking. That wasn’t the performance we know from ourselves. We weren’t able to ease the burden going forward, we had a lot of problems down the wings and were a bit disjointed. We have a team that’s always willing, runs a huge amount and battles. We defended to the end but there were other things lacking.”

Hugo Ekitiké: “It’s disappointing, we could’ve won. It was a difficult match. It feels frustrating because we’ve dropped two points. A game lasts longer than 90 minutes. But it’s onto the next one
