Famalicão host Nacional in Liga Portugal on Saturday, 21 March 2026 at the Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho, with the hosts eyeing a top-five push and the visitors trying to climb out of the relegation play-off spot.

Famalicão have momentum from three wins in four league games, beating Vitória S.C., Arouca and Casa Pia and drawing at Rio Ave. Earlier this season they also won 1-0 away at Nacional.

Defensively strong, Famalicão have kept 13 clean sheets and conceded 0.8 goals per game, with 51% possession and 81.48% passing accuracy across the campaign. In attack, Gil Dias has six assists and nine goal involvements this season, while Sorriso has contributed eight goal involvements.

Nacional arrive winless in five, with four defeats and a draw at Moreirense. They have conceded 1.5 goals per game and kept four clean sheets, but carry threat through Jesús Andrés Ramírez, who has scored 13 league goals. With most of their goals coming from inside the box, crosses and cut-backs could be their route.

Set pieces and aerial moments may matter. Famalicão have scored seven headed goals this season, and if they control territory their wide supply could test a defence that has shipped 38.

A win would move Famalicão to 45 points and could take them into the top five. Nacional would rise to 25 points with victory and could move out of the relegation play-off place, or at least close the gap to safety.
