Harry Kane was the measure of all things in the center of attack. As in the previous year, the England international was the expected goal machine and shone not only as an enforcer, but also in his interplay with his attacking teammates. His coolness, presence and team-oriented style of play made him the clear focal point in attack.

Michael Olise grew into a creative playmaker who impressed with his overview and technique. The attacking player not only shone with his direct goal contributions, but also with his ability to control the game and create dangerous situations. His influence was immense, especially when playing together with Kane and Díaz.

Luis Díaz brought dynamism and pace to the left flank. The Colombian caused constant unrest in the opposition defence, also worked hard defensively and was often involved in dangerous transitional situations. His drive towards goal made him a constant offensive weapon, even if his chance creation could still be improved. Díaz more than silenced the critical voices after his summer transfer.

17-year-old as a symbol for Munich’s young talent

Lennart Karl has attracted attention in several positions in attack this season after making his professional debut at the Club World Cup last season. The 17-year-old was deployed on the wings or in attacking midfield and impressed with pace, courage and a fine instinct in the penalty area. He is certainly considered the discovery of the year and should have a bright future at the record champions.

Serge Gnabry was not able to consistently fulfil his potential. Although he scored a few goals and provided assists, he lacked influence on the game over longer periods. However, an upward trend can be observed in the current season. Last-minute summer signing Nicolas Jackson put in a mixed performance. Although he scored goals, he was rarely able to recommend himself for higher tasks in the long term and fell down in terms of play in particular.

Jamal Musiala played a good season overall until his serious injury at the Club World Cup in July. Even if not every game was at the top level, he repeatedly showed his class in tight spaces and with clever dribbles. His comeback is expected in January. It will be exciting to see how Vincent Kompany will integrate the superstar into his strong attack.

The departure of two Munich legends and a surprising move to Turkey

Kingsley Coman was part of the Munich attack until his summer transfer to the Saudi Pro League. He remained true to his pattern: plenty of pace, good approaches, but a lack of consistency in finishing. Nevertheless, he was a valuable squad option until the end. He is likely to be remembered positively by fans forever, and not just for his decisive goal in the 2020 Champions League final.

Somewhat surprisingly, Leroy Sané left the club for Galatasaray on a free transfer in the summer. His performances in 2025 also fluctuated greatly – as in previous years. He once again lacked the consistency and assertiveness to play a leading role in the long term.

Thomas Müller, the club icon, left for Canada in the summer to join the Vancouver Whitecaps. His influence was limited in sporting terms, but he remains unforgotten as a character in the dressing room and as an emotional anchor. Anyone who supports Munich will probably miss Müller as a mouthpiece.

Mathys Tel rarely showed his potential in 2025. As a wild card, he was barely able to provide any impetus. In February, he initially moved to Tottenham on loan before Spurs signed him permanently in the summer.

Bayern’s attack in 2025 was dominated by a few key players – above all Kane, Olise and Díaz. But others also played their part. Now it’s up to you: Who was the best attacking player for you in the calendar year? Vote now – and feel free to explain why in the comments.
