FC Bayern Munich will be facing Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, looking to keep their knockout round hopes intact after a hard-fought victory against Benfica. The Bavarians have already lost twice in the league phase this season - to Aston Villa and Barcelona - and haven't yet been able to reignite their free-scoring, high-speed attack that caused an avalanche of destruction at the beginning of the season.
But they are slowly getting better on the defensive end and were able to take a big opportunity against a pretty solid team in Benfica. They will look to continue their improvements against their next opponent, a team from France who expect to be (at least) quarterfinalists with Bayern Munich.
PSG suffered a tough loss to Atletico Madrid last time out, conceding the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute. In all honesty, this PSG team has not been in great form so far this Champions League campaign, earning a rather disappointing four points out of a possible 12, with a record of one win, one draw, and two losses. With the star power this team has, you can never write them out of the script. However, you can notice that they haven't been able to properly use their speed and passing talent to their advantage as of yet, possibly showing how much they truly miss Kylian Mbappe's versatility up front on the big stage.
