Edna Imade is returning to FC Bayern Women from Real Sociedad ahead of schedule. The 25-year-old striker was originally on a season-long loan deal at the current third-placed team in the Spanish Liga F after moving from Granada to Munich last summer.

Rech: ‘Developed very well’

FC Bayern director of women’s football Bianca Rech: "Edna has developed very well over the past few months. After a strong first half-season in Spain, we made the decision with her to end her loan spell ahead of schedule and bring her back to Munich now. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Real Sociedad for their trust and cooperation. We want to continue to support Edna's positive development and are delighted that she's now rejoining us. With her open-mindedness and ambition, we're convinced she'll bring us a lot of joy and help us on the pitch in the future."

Imade: ‘Can't wait to get started’

Edna Imade: "I'm very happy to already be part of FC Bayern. I can't wait to get started, get to know my new teammates and develop both in personal and sporting terms. I've gained valuable experience over the past few months and am now proud to be able to play for this great club. My goal is to settle in quickly, support the team as best I can and celebrate successes with my teamates. I'm particularly looking forward to playing in the Champions League and perhaps one day playing at the Allianz Arena – that's always been a big dream of mine."

Spain international since November

Imade began her career at Carmona in Andalusia. In 2014, the striker joined Santa Ana Femenino before moving to AD Nervión in Seville three years later. After two years in Seville, she moved to Málaga in 2019, where the 1.79-metre-tall forward remained until 2021. She then played for Cacereño Femenino before moving to Granada, where she made her Primera División debut in September 2023. After joining FC Bayern last summer, Imade went out on loan to Real Sociedad for half a season. This season, the 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 11 league games, putting her in third place on the top scorer list. She gained her first senior Spain cap in the Nations League final against Germany.
