FC Porto women into the AF Porto Cup final

After securing a historic place at Jamor for the Portuguese Cup final, FC Porto’s women’s team will also contest the AF Porto Cup title against Valadares Gaia, repeating last season’s clash. This afternoon, in the semi-finals, Porto beat Rio Tinto 5-0. Cristina Ferreira (21'), Verónica Khudyakova (53'), Sofia Silva (82'), Lily Bryant (85') and Eliza Turner (87') scored Porto’s goals at the Olival mini stadium.

The AF Porto Cup final will be played on a date and at a venue yet to be decided. The team coached by Daniel Chaves returns to action next 25 April against CF Benfica, in the 12th matchday of the championship’s final stage (4pm, Porto Canal). In the event of a win, they will immediately secure promotion to the first division.
