FC Porto women's team make history in Portuguese Cup clash

In Pedroso, the FC Porto women's team achieved a historic victory: although the result was not the most expressive, the significance lies in the opponent. Guided by Daniel Chaves, the Porto players defeated Racing Power, a First Division team, by 3-0 and qualified for the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup – this is the first time FC Porto has beaten a team from the top tier.

Maria Negrão opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a penalty, and that result held until halftime. In the second half, Lara Perruca scored in the 49th minute on a counterattack and Lily Bryant sealed the win in the 68th minute, following an indirect free kick.
