According to Feyenoord Transfermarkt, the Rotterdam-Zuid natives are set to approach KVC Westerlo for left-back Jordan Bos. The club have prepared an offer for the 22-year-old Australian international ready to be submitted in Belgium.
The half-Dutch has a link to De Kuip (childhood shirt pictured below). However, the defender is currently injured with a hamstring issue, and this has Feyenoord assessing the feasibility of alternatives.
One of these alternatives reportedly “must come from a league outside the EU”. Feyenoord are weighing up the options, as they want the new left-back to be quickly deployable for the early stages of the Champions League Preliminary rounds.
Previously, Robin van Persie’s side turned down a move for Club Brugge’s Bjorn Meijer despite a successful medical. Questions arose surrounding the player’s immediate availability for said early European fixtures, and Feyenoord decided to cancel the transfer.
Another option was a loan move for Roma’s Anass Salah-Eddine. According to insiders, the player had initial conversations with head coach Van Persie, but now it seems Feyenoord are going down a different route.
