FIFA has confirmed the Mexico v England last 16 tie has been brought forward because of the threat of an electrical storm. It will now kick off at 20:00 on Sunday 5 July, having been scheduled for 02:00 on Monday 6 Spanish time.
The rescheduled meeting is one of the standout fixtures as the knockouts approach.
Javier Aguirre’s Mexico have won every match so far without conceding, a run matched by Spain.
By contrast, Thomas Tuchel’s England drew with Ghana in the group stage but still progressed to the last 32.
There, they had to come from behind against DR Congo, with Bayern striker Harry Kane scoring both goals to book their place in this round.
