Inter have been forced to drop their pursuit of Dodo, with Fiorentina closing the door following the arrival of Fabio Paratici and a shift in transfer strategy.
According to Fabrizio Romano, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri had made initial enquiries for the Brazilian full-back.
Indeed, in an attempt to address the vacancy on the right flank.
Inter’s idea was to explore a loan solution after Denzel Dumfries’ long-term absence.
However, that approach never progressed into concrete negotiations.

The situation changed definitively with Paratici’s arrival at Fiorentina.
The former Juventus and Tottenham director has taken a firm stance on outgoing deals, ruling out temporary departures and rejecting any formula that does not involve a significant permanent fee.
The Brazilian had been viewed as a potential short-term fix.
However, Fiorentina are unwilling to weaken their squad mid-season, especially under new sporting leadership.
Elsewhere, Romano also confirmed that Simone Inzaghi has reinforced his squad at Al-Hilal with Pablo Marí, while Kalidou Koulibaly is expected to return from the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, Inter have shut that door as well following João Cancelo’s decision to return to Barcelona.
For Inter, the search for a right-sided solution continues, but Dodo will not be part of it.
