Fiorentina are reportedly interested in Lazio right-back Manuel Lazzari, who appears to be heading out of the club.

Manuel Lazzari Is Considered Redundant at Lazio

The Valdangno native has been a protagonist at the Italian capital club since making the transfer from SPAL in the summer of 2019. However, he has now become surplus to requirements at Gennaro Gattuso’s court. The new Lazio coach plans to integrate Romano Floriani Mussolini, who will start as Adam Marusic’s understudy, with the opportunity to earn a starting role.

On the other hand, Lazzari’s contract will expire in June 2027, so his time at Formello is destined to end this summer. The Viola would like to replace the Brazilian with a young profile, while ideally pairing him with an experienced right-back.

The 32-year-old could be a useful veteran for the Tuscans thanks to his ability to play as a full-back in a back-four and a wing-back in a three-man backline.
