Manchester United will focus on recruiting a striker after the conclusion of the Bryan Mbeumo deal, and their list includes Moise Kean of Fiorentina.

Ideally, Ruben Amorim would have preferred a move for Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres, but the Nigerian seems to be Al-Hilal-bound while the Swede’s asking price remains beyond reach without significant player sales.

Liam Delap chose to move to Chelsea, and now, the Red Devils are fishing from their B list, with The Peoples Person relaying United’s interest in the Fiorentina striker.

He was on fire last season for I Viola, with the 25-year-old netting 25 times in only 38 starts across all competitions, while also registering three assists.

Moise Kean could be on the move

INEOS’ interest also stemmed from the fact that the Italy international had experience of playing in the Premier League for Everton, where he netted a meagre four goals.

The 20-time English league champions were considering triggering his €52 million release, but Tuttomercatoweb have revealed that the former Juventus ace is not looking forward to a switch to Old Trafford.

The striker is not too happy about the lack of European football, while he also feels his minutes could dramatically decrease should he agree to a move.

“Moise Kean could be one of the big names on the move this summer. Manchester United are the team that has given the most continuity to scouting and interest.

A move to United does not excite him

“However, it is a solution that is not entirely convincing, for several reasons: he will not play the Champions League – nor the cups in general – and above all United already have Hojlund, Zirkzee and Matheus Cunha (new purchase) as centre forwards.

“The idea is to be the first choice for a top European club, something that United would not guarantee him, at least at the start. A change of mind cannot be ruled out, but the orientation would be to opt for other shores, if he were to really say goodbye to Florence.”

It will not be a huge disappointment if United miss out, given Moise Kean’s record at previous clubs before his move to Florence. And recruiting from Italy has not always worked for the Red Devils.

Viktor Gyokeres’ name is starting to do the rounds again, and hopefully, there is some truth to the rumours this time around.
