Flamengo confirm line-up for Athletico-PR as Lucas Paquetá returns | OneFootball

Flamengo, depleted by injuries and suspensions, have confirmed their line-up to face Athletico-PR at Arena da Baixada in the 16th round of the Brasileirão, kick-off 19:30 Brasília time on Sunday.

The starters are Agustín Rossi, Guillermo Varela, Danilo, Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Léo Ortiz, Saúl, Lucas Paquetá, Jorge Carrascal, Samuel Lino and Pedro.

The bench features Andrew, Dyogo Alves, Emerson Royal, Vitão, Ayrton Lucas, Luiz Felipe, Everton Cebolinha, Bruno Henrique and Wallace Yan.

Coach Leonardo Jardim’s biggest headache was the midfield. Evertton Araújo and Jorginho picked up third yellows last time out and are suspended. De La Cruz, uncomfortable on the synthetic pitch, was left out, while Erick Pulgar remains in recovery.

Flamengo are boosted by the return of Lucas Paquetá. The academy graduate had not played since 19 April due to a left thigh oedema, and is not expected to play many minutes given limited preparation time.

The match will be shown on SporTV, with pay-per-view via Premiere. The result could bring Flamengo closer to Palmeiras at the top of the table.
