Flamengo defender Danilo has acknowledged recent improvements at the CBF after being called up by Brazil for the World Cup, while maintaining that the federation still has work to do.
According to Coluna Do Fla, four Flamengo players are with the national team. Danilo, a frequent critic of the CBF, said the past year had shown progress under Samir Xaud and the staff working with the president.
He said he was pleased because the dream is this year's World Cup, yet argued the CBF needs clear organisation and direction so Brazilian football can grow stronger, develop better athletes and lift the national side.
Danilo has previously been one of the most outspoken active players on the federation, and he reiterated that more is needed despite his selection.
Brazil have also called Lucas Paquetá, Alex Sandro and Léo Pereira. They are scheduled to face Egypt on Saturday 06 at 19:00 Brasília time in the United States.
