Flamengo have named their squad for Wednesday’s Libertadores group match at Estudiantes, with Carrascal returning after suspension in CBF competitions. The tie is in the third round of the group stage.
According to Globo.com, De la Cruz also strengthens the group after being rested against Atlético-MG in Belo Horizonte because of the Arena MRV synthetic pitch. He could start in Argentina.
Centre-back Léo Pereira misses out after sustaining a deep cut to his left shin against Atlético-MG, receiving stitches at Arena MRV. As he continues to heal, he has not been named for the trip to Buenos Aires.
Pulgar remains sidelined. Also suspended in the Brasileirão, he had been in line to return in the Libertadores, but has yet to complete a full session with the squad. He is recovering from a right shoulder injury and is in a transition phase.
Paquetá is also still out, continuing physiotherapy with no exact return date. While the player is optimistic, the club are treating the situation cautiously. He suffered an oedema in his left thigh against Bahia on the 19th.
